An AAC Awareness event was held at Hamilton Health Sciences, Technology Access Center, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in October 2010. For those involved, it was a fun and informative way to showcase and demonstrate “Communication without Barriers!”
Today’s the Day for Those with Alternative Communication Needs
“Today is ACC World Day. For those of you who don't know, that's Augmentative and Alternative Communication Day. If you've never heard of it you're not alone because it's seldom talked about. In fact, the people promoting it weren't saying anything today. Which is why we sent Scot Urquhart to talk it up.”
