Anne McDonald on The Right to Communicate and other issues

‎"Communication falls into the same category as food, drink and shelter - it is essential for life, and without it life becomes worthless" from The Right to Communicate by Anne McDonald, 1961-2010 http://home.vicnet.net.au/~dealcc/Anne2.htm

Anne McDonald was diagnosed as severely intellectually disabled and spent fourteen years in an institution. She freed herself, achieved a university degree, and worked for recognition of the right to communicate.  She passed away in 2010 but her work, her words, and her legacy live on.
